Effects of Reflexology
Reflexology
What is Reflexology?
Reflexology is an ancient healing art practiced by most of the early civilisations including Chinese, Egyptian, Greek and North and South American Indians.
With the introduction of ‘scientific’ medicine its use diminished but was ‘rediscovered’ by western society in the late 19th century.
Purpose of Reflexology?
Reflexology is a safe, relaxing therapeutic treatment which uses specific pressure techniques on reflex points on the feet which correspond to the organs, systems and structures of the body. Working on these areas helps release the tension and congestion allowing a free flow of energy and restoring the body’s natural balance
Reflexology induces a state of deep relaxation and promotes a sense of well-being, leaving you calm and revitalised.
How many sessions will I need?
Several treatments may be recommended depending on the individuals needs.Your initial session will take 70mins to allow time to take a full case history and discuss your needs and expectations. We do not specify that everyone should have a set number of treatments. Every case is treated as an individual and we will discuss our recommendations with you during the initial session
