Sports Massage Therapist

Cathy Gunn qualified in 2005 in Sports Massage and Personal Training with Premier Training. Previously she had spent 10 years working as a First Aid Trainer and assessor in Herts, Bedfordshire & Essex. Since qualification Cathy has been working part time as a Level 3 registered Sports Massage Therapist.

Cathy joined HeadStart in July 2008 and has now completed her training to upgrade her status to Level 4. When not massaging here are some of the activities she is involved in:

Sails with Enfield Scouts Sailing Association ESSA

Rides a Yamaha XT660R – dry season only -previously owned a BMW sidecar for 12 years

Is a Saffron Strider, having run the Flora Marathon 2007 in 4hrs 54mins

Joined Walden Triathletes Club in 2008 – now swimming, cycling and running most weeks

Attends a pilates class weekly

1st December 2007 qualified as an Open Water Scuba diver at Champagne Beach, Dominica – a fantastic experience likened to swimming in a giant glass of champagne bubbles!

April 2008 qualified as a Voluntary Community First Responder in North West Essex
